Hi I’m Sharon, an artist and educator with over 30 years of experience. Growing up in a creatively nurturing environment—with a mother who was a visual artist and a father who was a skilled carpenter—I was encouraged with hands-on creativity from a young age.
I attended the San Francisco Art Institute. I honed my skills through extensive community art projects and installations.
I’m currently based at the Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica, California, where I teach both in-person and online classes. My diverse background includes work in fashion, costume, and set design.
In my most recent role as Executive Director of a nonprofit providing art services to public schools, I collaborated with various agencies to develop creative experiences for school-age children.
My personal artwork draws inspiration from nature, allowing me to experiment with a variety of materials and themes. I believe Art is for everyone and I want to encourage the process of discovery and joy.
